Patrols might not start until next weekend but the Training and Assessment Portfolio has been hard at work!

The combined efforts of all the Training and Assessment Porfolios Trainers and Assessors has meant that a total of 98 new awards have been issued before the patrol season has even kicked off!

And there's still four bronze camps and a surf rescue certificate course to be run before the end of the year. Bronze camps are full, but positions are still available for the SRC course. Read on for a full rundown.

Since June the Training and Assessment Portfio has run an Advanced Resucitation Techniques (22 Candidates), First Aid (39 Candidates), Spinal Management (16 Candidates) and Silver Medallion Aquatic Rescue Course (11 Candidates). The Training and Assessment Portfolio has also upskilled 6 members to Assessors (2 Assessor Advanced Resucitation Tequniques, 1 Assessor Bronze Medallion, 1 Assessor First Aid, 1 Assessor IRB and 1 Assessor Spinal Management) and 2 members to Trainers (1 Training Officer Advanced Resucitation Techniques and 1 Training Officer First Aid).  In addition to this, the Training and Assessment Portfoio has also seen 1 member complete their Gold Medallion (Advanced Lifesaving) and Silver Medallion Basic Beach Management at Life Saving Victoria's Advanced Lifesaving Camp.
