Congratulations to the newest life members of Woolamai Beach SLSC, Troy Ross and Clark Livingston in acknowledgement and appreciation of over 30 years of dedicated patrol service each, as well as being outstanding leaders and highly-awarded competitors.
A new All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and Callout 4WD have been delivered in preparation for the season and are on the beach, thanks to support for the 4WD from Wonthaggi Toyota. As these vehicles are vital and valuable tools for our surf rescue service the club ran a compulsory induction over requal weekend for all members who wish to use the new equipment. This will ensure the investment in our essential rescue equipment enjoys a long life at Woolamai Beach.
Contact your patrol captain for more details on induction.

The 2015/2016 season started with a weekend of good weather and good vibrations! The Waterman patrol demonstrated a good turn out and a fantastic standard of Surf Life Saving -- dangerously strutting their way towards Patrol of the Year. In true Woolamai Beach style they spent the days upskilling their members while ensuring the beach was safe.
Preparation for jet ski rescue training for the Phillip Island Marine Rescue Service is underway. Work in the classroom and on the water will go ahead as soon as possible with selected participants. Ask your patrol captain for more details on jet ski rescue training.
All active members must attend requalification including Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) active members, unless you are attending Bronze Camp 2015. Read on for what you need to do before the day, and your options if you can't make it.
