Designed for members with young children, residence bookings can now be made by members patrolling or assisting with events. Check the patrol roster and get your booking in early.
The club's residence (six bedroom house in The Cranny, Cape Woolamai) was built in the early nineties and has been a great asset for the club. The primary purpose for the residence is to provide accomodation suitable for members with young children to stay when they are participating in club activities (e.g. patrolling or assisting with nippers). The residence also provides overflow accomodation for club members when the clubhouse is full.
We have recently replaced all the mattresses at the residence and are planning other improvements in the coming months including painting and replacing floor coverings. If you would like to be involved with these improvements please let Tricia know.
There is a nominal charge for active or associate members to stay at the residence. These rates were recently reviewed and are as follows:
- $10/night per active member or associate member
- $5/night per junior member including nipper members (junior members must be accompanied bya parent or guardian)
- $15/night per social member
Subject to be availability, members can host guests at the residence at a cost of:
- $25/night per adult (>18) non-member
- $10/night per child (<18) non-member
At times when the residence is not booked by members it will be made available for public rental. Public rentals will help subsidise the cost of improving the condition of the residence. We have reserved the residence for member use during periods when we anticipate it will be in demand for members but it is still important to book a bed in advance. To avoid dissapointment members are asked to book upfront for nights throughout the season that they want a bed. We won't accept any public bookings until after the 12th December so members have the first chance to book first.
